Colour Control in Spinning with Cheryl Huseby Wiebe, May 10 & 11
Tired of getting mud when you spin multi-coloured roving? Sometimes you might get a pleasant surprise. But wouldn't it be much more satisfying to spin with confidence that your finished yarn will be exactly what you want?
I hate to break it to you but it all comes down to sampling! After working with various combinations of colours and spinning techniques, you will begin to find your stride with wool and silk.
Please bring a few sets of knitting needles in the sizes you prefer to knit, or a Weavette type loom or crochet hook [for non-knitters] so we can test out our samples properly.
Topics: Navajo plying, striated roving, hand painted roving, sprinkle dyed roving and more.
Please bring your wheels ready to go with lazy kates and any extra ratios you may have.
This is Not a beginners workshop.
Cost: $200.00 Materials fee: $50
