Know Your Fibre, Know Your Wheel with Cheryl Huseby Wiebe, January 21 & 22
For many spinners, the frustration of not being able to produce the yarns we desire can be eliminated simply by learning how our wheels function. Day 1 we will examine what each element of the wheel is responsible for and how minute changes can make a big difference. The more types of wheels in the class, the more we all learn. Various exercises exploring these aspects will help each spinner add to her confidence.
Day 2 we will examine a number of protein fibres in order to become familiar with the appropriate wheel adjustments needed to enhance the best qualities of each fibre explored.
Please bring your wheel[s] with as many ratios as you have available, and your lazy kates.
This is Not a beginners workshop.
Cost: $200.00 Materials fee: $50
