Retreats & Seminars at Jane's Studio
Testimonials
"...Jane has such positive energy and creates such a comfortable learning atmosphere teaching not only the how's, but also the why's. I left with such a clear understanding of what I wanted to do and a great desire to do it!
The B&B was fantastic with wonderful meals highlighting fresh garden vegetables and the local market fare. I think the only down side is that I left just a wee bit heavier than I arrived!" — Sherry Massey, San Raphael, California
"One of the most important teaching techniques Jane uses when teaching a new group is she quickly assess each student and knows when to present supportive help. She very clearly instructs the weaving student groups and demonstrates all ideas she presents. She intuitively senses how much the students can absorb at one time and breaks up the activities into comfortable time spans. A very special experience is taking a class on Salt Spring Island at Jane's home. Her studio is well equipped with looms for everyone, and an inexhaustible supply of yarns. Also, she provides meals and she and her helpers are wonderful cooks using fresh vegetables from the garden and eggs from the many chickens in the yard. It is a delightful learning environment!" — Rachel Lober, Bishop, CA, USA
"This summer I took Jane Stafford's workshop "Pushing the Boundaries of Plainweave" It was Wonderful. Jane was supremely well organized. The workshop was well paced. The choice of colour was inspiring and the materials were varied and of the highest quality. The atmosphere was great. There was seriousness and lightheartedness and even belly laughs. The food and accomodations were marvellous. To be in the woods surrounded by gardens and chickens made it very special. It brought out the best in all of us. I can't wait to return." — Barbara Todd, Concordia University Textile Department
